Mattheus van der Steen is the founder and director of Touch, Reach and Impact the Nations (Trin).

He was born in the Netherlands and at the age of 14 joined the Maritime College in that country to sail the seven seas and to train as a Maritime Officer. At the age of 20 he graduated from the college and joined the staff of m/v Anastasis, a hospital ship belonging to Mercy Ships. During his time working on board, the ship visited many African countries and Mattheus was appalled at the overwhelming need of the babies orphaned by Aids, and the plight of the street children.

He eventually made the life changing decision to leave his career as a Maritime Officer and to concentrate on doing what he can to help these vulnerable groups. After working in Africa and Kosovo doing outreach work, he returned to Holland and started Trin so that he could reach a larger number of people around the world, both with material care as well as the Gospel.

In 2005 Trin started orphanages in Uganda and India and now also supports orphanages in Rwanda, Kosovo, Kenia, Marocco and Mozambique. At the moment more homes are being built in the children’s village in Uganda to help housing the increasing number of orphans in the country. We also have Trin offices in Kosovo, Uganda, Pakistan, India and Indonesia.

As an evangelist with the desire to tell people of Gods great love for them and the Salvation available by acepting Jesus Christ as their Saviour, he has travelled to over 70 countries to minister, often in deprived or declared disaster areas.  He is often accompanied by groups of commited supporters and acclaimed musicians. His organisation has recently opened Trin offices in India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Uganda.

He is passionate for and about Jesus, and speaks prophetically about revival and transformation, God's heart for the orphans and the widows, the John the Baptist generation, the Church in the End Time, Joel's Army, depression and burnout, signs and miracles, being filled with the Holy Spirit, the Great Commision, and, his favourite subject 'If you see the invisible God, you can do the impossible'

In the Netherlands he has also founded a movement called Revival Alliance Netherlands which is a growing network of pastors across Europe who are longing for revival and transformation.

Mattheus is author of several books and his book 'Dare to Dream-Walk in your Destiny' won an award for the best selling Christian Book in the Netherlands in 2009. He is married to Rebekah, the co founder of Trin, and they have two sons.

We have the vision and dream to build a community of at least 10.000 revivalist from EVERY nation whose lives are a living sacrifice and to stand together in unity, an army of God for the times to come without man made walls, no walls of denominations or religious striving. This is a community of people who are loving, relationship orientated, extremely radical and unswervingly obedient to the call of the Lord Jesus. They will GO into all the world, disciple nations, bringing the Kingdom of God and taking care of the poor, being a voice for the voiceless and a name for the nameless, a community what is desperate for only the presence of God and to see millions of souls being brought into the Kingdom.
